M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Baltimore Ravens, welcomed a different kind of football on September 26, 2026. Colombia and Mexico met in an international friendly that finished 1–1 before an announced crowd of 67,117. For City Mix, it was a chance to cover both the contest on the field and the community surrounding it: two national teams, two sets of colors, and supporters bringing their own personalities to the occasion.

Luis Suárez gave Colombia the lead in the ninth minute. That early goal carried Colombia into halftime ahead 1–0, despite Mexico recording ten first-half shots to Colombia’s one. Mexico found its answer in the 61st minute through Gilberto Mora, bringing the teams level for the final score.

The full-time statistics show Mexico leading the shot count 16–5 and shots on target 3–2, while Colombia earned five corners to Mexico’s two. Those numbers describe the match’s competitive balance; our photographs add another dimension, from challenges for the ball and goalmouth action to the anthem, team portrait and supporters in the stands.

Flags, elaborate fan outfits and decorated drums made the crowd an essential part of this story. Our gallery brings those details together with the action and interview coverage. It is a reminder of how an international game can turn a local stadium into a meeting place for communities with shared roots and different allegiances.

City Mix extends our sincere thanks to MexTour for allowing us to attend and cover this amazing game and event. We especially thank Gabriel Gabor, Media Officer; Ángel Franco-Herrera, Accreditation Officer; Jesús Burgos; and every member of the supporting staff who helped make our attendance and coverage possible. We also thank the many volunteers whose time and effort helped bring the event together. An occasion of this scale depends on people whose work continues well beyond what the cameras capture.

A special thank-you goes to my good friend David Bermúdez Medina, who came through for us at the last minute to photograph this beautiful content. His contribution helped us share the action, the faces and the spirit of the evening with our readers. We look forward to continuing to work together and covering more great games like this with him.
