The rematch leaves another question
DC Defenders 23, Orlando Storm 29
DC Defenders 23, Orlando Storm 29
Developing matchup · The league report frames this as a three-game sequence leading into the playoffs, rather than a longstanding major rivalry.
Orlando won in DC and set up a third consecutive meeting with the Defenders, this time in the playoffs. A late touchdown from Briley Moore kept Washington pushing, but the Storm closed the result. This was a developing season storyline with a postseason sequel, not a decades-old rivalry.
