From the national calendar to DC’s own runway
New York supplies one reference point; Washington’s program supplies a local route into fashion.
After New York’s September 10–15 schedule, DC Fashion Week listed its own September 25–27 sequence: industry networking, emerging designers and an international couture showcase. Both calendars used spring–summer 2027 collection labels for events held in 2026.
City Mix’s interpretation is practical: following fashion nationally and supporting a local designer conversation can be complementary habits. The sequence alone does not prove New York caused a DC trend. Read this alongside our DC Fashion Week report for the individual evening listings, rather than assuming the two events share designers, organizers or a runway.
