A runway with a different agenda
PCMA Foundation’s Living in Color program connected fashion with the business-events community.
May’s style calendar made room for a runway beyond the usual fashion circuit. PCMA Foundation listed Living in Color at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on May 6, with business-events professionals featured as models. The announced program linked the fashion show with a reception and pop-up shops.
The foundation identified scholarships, education and access initiatives as the beneficiaries of the proceeds. That gives this date a useful local angle: dressing up could share a stage with professional community-building. This retrospective follows the organizer’s documented program, without claiming attendance, interviewing the models or judging looks we did not document.
