Chesapeake Baysox 8, Richmond Flying Squirrels 0
Regional rivalry · MiLB documented the geographical rivalry under the Baysox’s former Bowie name. Richmond lies outside the DMV.
An eight-run lead and a zero on the other side make a clean baseball sentence. Chesapeake’s shutout win gave this regional matchup a decisive June finish. The rivalry history comes from MiLB’s earlier description of Richmond and the then-Bowie Baysox as geographical rivals; the score here belongs specifically to 2026.
